Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments for women experiencing pelvic health concerns, ensuring a detailed understanding of each patient’s physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs and goals.

  • Educate and empower patients by guiding them through exercises, lifestyle adjustments, and self-care practices that promote long-term pelvic health and overall well-being.

  • Deliver specialized interventions for women during pregnancy and postpartum, supporting safe recovery, improved function, and enhanced quality of life.

  • Address common pelvic floor challenges such as urinary and bowel incontinence, prolapse, and pain with intercourse, helping patients regain confidence and comfort.

  • Monitor and track patient progress through follow-up communication, email check-ins, and home exercise programs (via Physitrack).

  • Send session recaps to patients via email after their initial visit and use email as the primary form of communication.

  • Support clinic operations by:

    • Scheduling patients and ensuring smooth appointment flow.

    • Collecting payments (most patients have a card on file in Jane; ask before charging or update payment method as needed).

    • Sending superbills through Jane (quick and simple process).

  • Help maintain a clean, welcoming environment by:

    • Placing dirty laundry into laundry bags and notifying when pickup is needed (typically Friday).

    • Ensuring supplies and equipment are well stocked (e.g., lubricant, gloves, chuck pads, paper goods, pelvic wands, dilators, etc.).

    • Cleaning gym equipment with provided spray bottles.

    • Replacing garbage bags as needed and taking trash to the designated bin.

    • Vacuuming and dusting the office as needed.

    • Occasionally watering plants when I’m away.

  • Contribute to community education by running workshops, engaging in blog or social media content to raise awareness of pelvic floor health.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).

  • Clinical experience in pelvic floor rehabilitation and a strong orthopedic background.

  • Passion for holistic, patient-centered care.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Availability to treat patients at least three days per week.
