Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Lumina Pelvic Health LLC (“Lumina,” “we,” or “us”). By using luminapelvichealth.com or agreeing to these Terms when asked, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site or its tools.
Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how we handle website data.
Who can use the site
You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use our online tools, sign up for a workshop, or give us your email. The site is meant for people in the United States. Its content is based on U.S. care and may not fit the care or laws where you live.
Education only—not medical advice
Website articles, downloads, emails, workshops, online tools, and other content are general education. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or a substitute for advice from a qualified clinician who knows your history. Do not delay or disregard professional care because of something on this site. Emails timed to your due date are based only on that date, not on your health or pregnancy.
Health information changes and may not fit your circumstances. We do not promise that site content is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for you, and we do not guarantee any health, pregnancy, birth, recovery, or other outcome. Testimonials and reviews describe individual experiences, and your results may differ. If you have a medical concern, contact your care team. Call 911 for an emergency.
Exercises and physical activity
Some articles, emails, and workshops describe exercises, stretches, breathing techniques, positions, or other movement. Before you try them, especially during pregnancy or while recovering after birth, check with your care team that they are right for you. Stop if something hurts or does not feel right, and contact your care team.
You decide whether to do any exercise or activity. To the fullest extent allowed by law, you do so at your own risk.
No provider–patient relationship through the site
Visiting the site, sending a message, having a free discovery call, attending a public workshop, or using an online tool does not make you a patient of Lumina or create a provider–patient relationship. Clinical care begins only through our separate intake and appointment process. Care is governed by the patient agreements, consents, and clinic policies provided for that relationship, not these website Terms.
Birth Plan Builder
The Birth Plan Builder helps you organize preferences into a document you can print or download. It does not assess risk, screen for contraindications, recommend a course of care, or determine whether any preference is safe or available. A birth plan is not a medical order or a guarantee that a care team or facility can follow every preference. Circumstances and available options may change.
Review the finished document for accuracy and discuss it with your obstetrician, midwife, doula, or other care team. You remain responsible for decisions about your care. The builder is not designed for urgent communication with your care team.
Most answers and the generated PDF remain on your device as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for saving your own copy. We cannot recover a local plan that is cleared, lost, or unavailable. Anyone who uses the same browser can see your saved answers, so on a shared device choose “Start over with a blank plan” when you finish.
Workshops
Signing up for a workshop does not guarantee a spot. We may change a workshop's date, time, format, or content, or cancel it. If we do, we will try to let registered attendees know by email.
Virtual workshop links are for you only. Do not share a link or record a session without our permission. Other attendees can see and hear what you share, so share only what you are comfortable with. Answers to questions during a workshop are general education for the group, not individual advice.
Some workshops are held at or booked through a partner venue. The venue's own terms, payment and cancellation policies, and any waiver it requires apply to that booking.
Ownership and your license
Lumina and its licensors own the site, builder templates, text, graphics, logos, videos, downloads, and other content, except for material you provide. We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use them for your own personal, noncommercial purposes while you follow these Terms.
You keep ownership of your own Birth Plan Builder answers. You may download, print, copy, and share your generated plan for your personal care. That permission does not transfer ownership of Lumina's underlying builder, design, educational content, or templates.
Without our written permission, you may not republish, sell, license, distribute, publicly display, create commercial derivatives from, or use our content to train a machine-learning system. You may not remove copyright or other ownership notices.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Break the law or violate another person's rights.
- Probe, bypass, or interfere with security or access controls.
- Introduce malware, overload the site, or disrupt another person's use.
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract site content in bulk.
- Impersonate another person or submit false or fraudulent information.
We may block or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect the site, our users, or our rights.
Third-party services
The site may link to or embed services we do not control, such as booking, event registration, maps, social media, and video services. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. A link does not mean we endorse all content, products, or views available through that service.
Site availability and disclaimers
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, compatibility with every device, or freedom from errors or harmful components.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue site features or content.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lumina and its owner, clinicians, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or loss caused by relying on site content, using an online tool, or being unable to use the site.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for a claim arising from the site or these Terms will not exceed $100. These exclusions and limits do not apply where the law forbids them, including to liability that cannot legally be limited. Your jurisdiction may give you rights that these Terms cannot waive.
Governing law and disputes
Washington law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise, a dispute relating to the site or these Terms must be brought in a state or federal court in King County, Washington, and you and Lumina consent to that court's jurisdiction.
Changes and other terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. Changes apply when posted unless we state otherwise. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the updated Terms. If a law requires another form of notice or consent, we will provide it.
If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. These Terms, together with any additional terms we show for a specific feature, are the entire agreement about your use of the site and its online tools.
