About this policy
Lumina Pelvic Health LLC (“Lumina,” “we,” or “us”) is a pelvic floor physical therapy practice in Seattle, Washington. This policy covers luminapelvichealth.com and its online tools, including the Birth Plan Builder and workshop sign-up forms.
It does not cover patient records from clinical care, which follow our separate clinical privacy practices and health-information laws. Contact us for a copy of those practices. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act.
How the Birth Plan Builder works
The builder uses your health history, birth preferences, and other answers to create your plan right in your browser. It saves them on your device so you can come back later, and it creates the PDF on your device too. We don't receive your answers, except for your first name and due date when you give us your email to download or print your plan.
To remove your saved answers, choose “Start over” or clear this site's data in your browser. Your answers don't carry over to another browser or device, and we can't recover them if they're lost.
Information you give us
- Birth Plan Builder. To download or print your plan, you give us your email address. We also receive your first name and due date, and keep a record that you agreed to receive our emails.
- Workshops. When you sign up for a workshop or waitlist, we collect your name, email, due date, and how you heard about us. If you ask for workshop alerts, we collect just your email.
- Messages. If you email, text, call, or otherwise contact us, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to include. Ordinary email and text messages may not be secure, so please do not use them for urgent or highly sensitive information.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site automatically receives some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view. We use it to run the site, fix problems, and block spam and automated form submissions.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, like which pages get visited. It uses cookies and receives information such as your browser, device, and approximate location. We've turned off its advertising features, and we don't send it your name, email, due date, or birth plan answers. Because it records which pages you visit, it can show an interest in pregnancy topics. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the site and its tools.
- Unlock the Birth Plan Builder's download and print controls.
- Send the birth and postpartum tips and updates you signed up for, timed to your due date.
- Register you for a workshop, manage capacity, and contact waitlisted people.
- Reply to messages and provide requested support.
- Understand site use and improve content and performance.
- Prevent fraud and abuse and comply with legal obligations.
Who receives information
We use these providers to run the site:
- Supabase stores birth plan email sign-ups.
- Loops sends our emails.
- Google provides analytics and the spreadsheets for workshop sign-ups.
- Vercel hosts the site and protects it from spam.
We don't sell your information or use it for targeted ads, and we never upload our email list to ad platforms. We may share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or if the practice is sold.
Links and embedded services, such as online booking, maps, and social media, may collect information under their own privacy policies when you use them.
Your privacy choices
You can unsubscribe using the link in any of our emails. Unsubscribing stops the emails but doesn't delete your information. You'll still get messages about things you signed up for, like a workshop.
To see, correct, or delete your information, email hello@luminapelvichealth.com from the address you used. We may ask you to confirm it's you. We'll respond within the time the law requires. Keeping and protecting information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above or to meet legal requirements. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email on a do-not-send list so we don't email you again. When we delete information at your request, we ask our providers to delete it too.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website is completely secure.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us so we can address it.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the date above. If a change requires new consent, we will ask before applying it.
